One of the most expensive Christmas dinners you can have comes from Spain: angulas, or baby eels.

Each year their price goes up, reaching over €1000 per kilo this last Christmas, that's about $36 for just one ounce.

Angulas are so popular that several years ago a cheap alternative made from fish meat was developed. It's so realistic that even eyes are painted on with squid ink.
