Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies

This cookie recipe was handed down in my family and I have used it in many restaurant and catered events. People love the cookies they are soft like a short bread cookie. The use of cake mix makes this a very big money savings recipe, since there is no butter in the recipe. A-large 4-6 ounce scoop will yield about 12 cookies, and a smaller 2-3 ounce scoop will yield about 2-dozen cookies. You can buy a store icing and put it on the cookies after they have cooled slightly and the icing will melt on the cookies sealing in all the freshness. As you can see the ingredient list is small, that is the best thing about this recipe; it is simple and easy to do.


2 boxes Chocolate cake mix
1 cup of vegetable oil
4 eggs
½ cup chocolate chips

-Mix all ingredients in a mixing bowl with a paddle attachment or use a hand mixer
-Add chocolate chips and fold in by hand
-Place on non-stick cookie sheet or spray with non-stick spray about 2 inches apart.
-Bake in 325° oven for 10-15 minutes until they begin to turn brown on the tops.

You can use white chocolate chips or add pecans, walnuts or raisins that will all taste wonderful in this cookie.
