Fresh Tomato Salsa

There is nothing like a fresh salsa to put in any Mexican dish, a dip for tortilla chips, or in any sandwich to add a little extra punch. Salsa is easy to make you can use a food processor or chop the ingredients by hand. Once you make it yourself, it will become hard to want to purchase it ever again. There are different versions that you can add fruit, cucumbers, or various vegetables to for an alternative salsa flavor. We will add a few more of the recipes to the site so you can experiment with flavors and seasonings.


½ bunch cilantro
1 large clove garlic
1 jalapeno pepper seeded
1 small green bell pepper
1 small white onion
3 large tomatoes
3 tablespoons olive oil
1 lime squeezed
1 teaspoon cumin
1 teaspoon kosher salt
1 pinch pepper


-Put cilantro, garlic, jalapeno and olive oil in food processor and pulse until smooth.
-Coarsely chop pepper, tomato and onion and put into the food processor and pulse slightly chunky.
-Pour into a bowl and add cumin, salt and pepper stir and let sit for at least ½ hour for flavors to marinate.

You can use this salsa recipe for chips or in any Mexican meal preparation. This authentic recipe highlights fresh cilantro and tomatoes with jalapeno peppers, a small pepper is all you need, cut back on the pepper if it is too hot!
